What you need to check

This works in every WA council area. It cuts your council rates and the emergency services levy (ESL), a fire and emergency charge on your rates notice, plus underground power and water service charges. With a Pensioner Concession Card, State Concession Card, or a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card plus WA Seniors Card, you get up to 50% off. Rates are capped at $750 and water at $600. Pensioners can also delay paying until the home is sold. With only a WA Seniors Card, you get up to 25% off, capped at $100. You must own and live in the home on 1 July. You register once with the Water Corporation, and it tells your council.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
