Where our listings come from.
Every listing links to the government agency that runs it. Here is where our information comes from and what we still need to check.
What we cover
We list 320 kinds of support you can apply for now, all checked by us, from federal, state and territory governments and some local councils. We cover people and households, not businesses.
We haven’t listed everything yet. Use this as a starting point. It isn’t a full list, and it can’t tell you for sure that you can get something.
How we keep listings up to date
An automatic check visits each official page to see if it is still there or has changed. A person reviews new support and rule changes before we show them. If a page can’t be opened, we look at it again. It doesn’t always mean the support has ended.
660 official pages: 459 checked automatically, 189 reviewed by a person because the site blocks automatic checks, 12 we couldn’t open. Last check 5 Nov 2026.
Checks scheduled every six hours. Availability and source delays can vary.
Where we look, and what we miss
We look at official support pages, government finders, official news and feeds. We only check some local councils.
- SA and NT news sites currently challenge automated access; state support hubs remain in the inventory.
- WA and VIC news listings need a supported discovery channel; their support hubs and listed programmes are checked.
- Local government sources are a small sample, not national council coverage.
- A feed or sitemap may be delayed, incomplete or stale. Checks do not guarantee instant discovery.
The automatic check only sees whether a page is there or has changed. Each listing also shows when a person last reviewed it.
