What you need to check
Homes Tasmania offers these homes. You must live in Tasmania and be 18 or older. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. Your income must be low enough for a Health Care Card. You cannot own a home or land. Your money and shares (not cars or household items) must be $35,000 or less. You must be able to live on your own and look after a rental. Apply through Housing Connect on 1800 800 588. They check if you qualify.
