What you need to check

The Emergency Services Levy is a yearly SA charge on property that pays for fire and emergency services. It is for the home you live in. You must own it on 1 July. A life estate (a right to live there for life) also counts. You need an eligible concession card or Centrelink payment. Pensioners with a water concession may already get it, so check your levy notice first. People in residential parks cannot get it.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
