What you need to check

The SA Housing Trust can help if you are moving into a private rental, residential park, boarding house, community housing or some retirement villages. There are income and savings limits, and you cannot owe the Housing Trust over $1,000. Apply before you move in, because rent in advance is not paid after you move. Once approved, you have 14 weeks to find a place. Help with rent you owe is only given in special cases.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
