What you need to check

Your household income must be under a limit, for example $1,454 a week for one adult. Your household must have no more than $5,500 in cash and savings. You cannot own a home. The payment goes straight to the landlord or the company that sent the bill. RentConnect officers can also help with a rent subsidy, or help you find a cheaper rental.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
