What you need to check

The City of Gold Coast discount is for pensioners on at least 80% of the full pension. Couples are assessed on their combined pension. You must own the home and live there, or have a very long lease such as a lifetime lease. You need a Queensland Pensioner Concession Card or a Veteran Gold Card. The state government also pays 20% of rates (up to $200 a year) and gives a water subsidy.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
