What you need to check

You must own and live in your ACT home. You need a pension from Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) and a Pensioner Concession Card. A Veteran Gold Card also counts. The $133 comes off the Police, Fire and Emergency Services Levy, a yearly charge on your rates bill. If you own the home with someone who is not a pensioner, you get a smaller share. Each owner who qualifies must apply. The rebate starts from the year you apply and is not paid for past years.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
