What you need to check

This is for people whose body cannot manage heat or cold because of a medical condition. They must meet at least two of three medical tests set by the scheme. Examples include severe spinal cord injury, MS or large burns. A doctor who has treated them for at least three months must certify it. You need a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card or Health Care Interim Voucher. The Commonwealth Seniors Health Card does not count. Up to two people in one home can get it. You renew each year.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
