What you need to check

You can get it if you are 65 or older, live in WA, and are an Australian citizen or permanent resident. You must be retired or work no more than 25 hours a week. The card gets you a yearly Cost of Living Rebate payment. For 2026 it is $114.20 for singles and $171.30 for couples. Your application must reach the WA Seniors Card Centre by 31 May to get that year’s payment. You also get free Transperth travel at quiet times, and rebates on council rates, water charges and your driver’s licence. Some businesses give discounts too.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
