What you need to check

If you are over 65, live in WA and get an Australian Government pension, emergency ambulance trips are free. If you are over 65 without a pension, you pay half. If you are under 65 with a Pension Concession Entitlement, such as a full Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs pension, you also pay half. The trip must be medically needed. St John WA runs the service. For billing questions, call 9334 1212.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
