What you need to check

You need a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card or Veteran Gold Card. The water bill must be in your name, so renters can only get it if the bill is in their own name. Your water company takes 50% off water and sewerage charges. The official page shows a limit of $372.10 a year for 2025–26, or $186.05 if you only pay for one service, such as water only. The 2026–27 limit is not shown yet.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
