What you need to check

You need a Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran Gold Card. You can get 50% off the registration fee for one private car, ute, van or motorbike. Pensioner Concession Card and Gold Card holders also get 50% off the TAC charge (the Transport Accident Commission insurance part of your rego bill). Some veterans (TPI or EDA Gold Card) get free registration. A spouse or partner of a card holder can also use the card. Seniors Cards and the Commonwealth Seniors Health Card do not count. Apply at least 5 days before your rego is due.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
