What you need to check

You must own and live in the home. All owners together must earn less than $150,000 a year in taxable income. The home must be worth under $3 million. It must not have had solar panels put in during the last 10 years. You must use an approved solar retailer and get approval before installing. New rebates are released each month. From 1 July 2027 this help moves to a different program called Victorian Energy Upgrades.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
