What you need to check
You must own and live in the home. The rebate is half the product price, up to $1,000, or up to $1,400 for some locally made products. All owners together must earn less than $150,000 a year. The home must be worth under $3 million. Your old hot water system must be at least 3 years old. The home must not have had a Solar Homes hot water or battery rebate before. You must use an approved retailer and get approval first. A limited number of rebates are released at a time.
