What you need to check

You must be a permanent Australian resident living in Victoria. You must have a severe and permanent disability that stops you using public transport safely on your own. There is also a money test. You show a listed Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs card, or an ATO Notice of Assessment. Permanent wheelchair users skip the money test. The limit is $2,180 a financial year, and it resets each 1 July. It also works in some rideshare services. There is a small fee for the card. A doctor completes an online medical assessment, then you return a consent form. Decisions take about 14 business days. Phone 1800 638 802.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
