What you need to check
You do not need a concession card, citizenship or proof of address. Funded Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Kinder (including Pre-Prep) is free at sessional kinders that take part. At long day care centres that take part, you get money off your fees. In 2026 this is $700.33 to $2,101 for 3-year-olds, and $2,101 for 4-year-olds in a 15-hour program. You can only get it at one kinder at a time. Some services do not take part.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
