What you need to check
Students at Victorian government schools can get free uniforms, school shoes, stationery packs and other school items. This is for families in serious money trouble or a crisis, such as homelessness, family violence or a natural disaster. Students in out-of-home care or with refugee status can also get help. The school applies for you. Children starting Prep or Year 7 whose family gets the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund can get uniform help automatically.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
