What you need to check

The Department of Treasury and Finance holds unclaimed money and some unclaimed super. It also holds money from old Betfair, TOTE and Federal Rewards Club accounts, Sportsbet and Betfair tickets, and unclaimed Tattslotto prizes from Tasmanian tickets. There is no search box. Instead, open the lists on the page and use Find (Ctrl+F) to look for your name. Try your initials and other spellings. Amounts of $50 or more are listed. Smaller amounts are held too, so ask. If you find money, fill in the claim form for that list. Most claims need proof of ID. For unregistered tickets or cards, you need the original, not a copy. Phone 03 6145 5443.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
