What you need to check

You get a smartcard that pays half your taxi fare, up to $25 a trip. If you always use a wheelchair, it pays 60%, up to $30 a trip. You must be a permanent Tasmanian resident and a member of the Transport Access Scheme. You must have a permanent physical disability that severely limits your movement. You also need a concession card, such as a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card or Commonwealth Seniors Health Card. A doctor fills in part of the form. For help, contact Building Tasmania on 1300 135 513.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
