What you need to check

You get extra parking time in areas with parking signs, including parking meters. You must be a permanent Tasmanian resident. You must have a permanent physical disability that severely limits your movement. It cannot be temporary or fixable by recognised surgery or treatment. It does not matter if you hold a driver’s licence or whether public transport is nearby. You do not need a concession card. A registered medical practitioner must fill in part of the Transport Access Scheme application form. For help, contact Building Tasmania on 1300 135 513 or at transport.support.programs@building.tas.gov.au.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
