What you need to check
You must own or rent the home you live in and pay for its water. You need an eligible concession card, an eligible Centrelink payment, or a low income. The Commonwealth Seniors Health Card is not on the card list. The water part is up to 30% of your yearly water bill, within set limits. Tenants who pay only for water use get $197.20 to $377.90. Home owners can also get up to $228.12 off sewerage rates; tenants cannot. You may need to send in your bills for a top-up to get the full amount.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
