What you need to check
A personal alert is a device you press to call for help, for example after a fall. This program helps pay for an approved device and its monitoring. You must live in SA permanently, be 75 or older (65 or older if you are Aboriginal) and have a Pensioner Concession Card. You must first ask My Aged Care for an assessment. You must also meet health and daily-living rules, and a health professional signs part of the form. Some people cannot get it, such as Gold Card holders and people with bigger home care packages.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
