What you need to check

You need a Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card, or be a dependant of someone who does. Single vision glasses cost at most $25 ($30 if they must be specially made). Bifocals cost at most $50 and multifocals at most $100. Some Aboriginal people get standard glasses free. You can get a new pair every three years, or sooner if needed. You cannot use GlassesSA if you get Carer Allowance, or if you can use Veterans’ Affairs eye services. People with some serious eye conditions can get free contact lenses.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
