What you need to check
You must have served in the Australian Defence Force and been totally disabled by an injury during service. You get 66.6% off registration for one car or motorbike, and pay no stamp duty on compulsory third party insurance or on the car’s value. Your driver’s licence fee is halved. You need proof from Veterans’ Affairs, such as a Gold Card marked TPI (Totally and Permanently Incapacitated) or EDA (Extreme Disablement Adjustment).
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
