What you need to check

You may get a permit if you use a mobility aid, if a condition makes walking slow or hard, or if a significant cognitive, behavioural or neurological condition means you need support to move safely. This includes autism and intellectual disability, and children. Legally blind passengers can also get one. A permanent permit costs $26 and lasts up to 5 years. A temporary permit costs $15 and lasts up to 12 months. A health practitioner fills in part of form MR256.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
