What you need to check
It helps with costs like council rates, power and medical bills. You need an eligible concession card from Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs, an eligible Centrelink payment or a low income. You must live in the home, and tenants need a written rental agreement. The money goes into your bank account between August and December. Apply by 31 December for this financial year. If you got it before and nothing has changed, you do not need to apply again.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
