What you need to check

You need a Queensland Seniors Card or a Queensland Pensioner Concession Card. Some veterans with serious injuries also qualify. The vehicle must be mainly for private use and registered in your name. Couples get one concession between them. For a 4-cylinder car the fee drops from $385.45 to $192.75 a year. Insurance and other charges stay the same. It cannot be backdated.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
