What you need to check

If the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) could not pay your bond refund, it keeps the money and still guarantees it, however long ago it was. There is no public name search. Update your details in RTA Web Services (you need a Queensland Digital Identity), and any money owed is refunded to your Australian bank account automatically. If you know the bond number, you can lodge a refund request online. Paper forms can be emailed or posted. Phone 1300 366 311.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
