What you need to check

It is for people with a long-term medical condition that gets much worse without cooling or heating, such as multiple sclerosis or severe burns. The home must have an air conditioner or heater. You need a Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card, and you must pay the power bill. A medical specialist must fill in part of the form. It is paid in parts every 3 months into your bank account. You can get this as well as the Electricity Rebate. You reapply every 2 years.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
