What you need to check

It pays the labour cost of jobs such as grab rails, lock repairs, smoke alarms, minor plumbing and gutter cleaning. The whole job must cost $1,500 or less. You must be 60 or older, or have a disability. You must hold a Pensioner Concession Card and be unable to do the job yourself. Owners and renters can both apply. Renters cannot use it for work the owner must do by law. People who can get other aged care home help, such as Support at Home, usually cannot use it.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
