What you need to check
You must be 65 or older. You must have lived in the NT for at least 183 days (6 months) of the financial year. You can be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or a temporary visa holder with a Medicare card at your NT address. Apply by 1 May to get a card for that financial year. People in the NT Concession Scheme can join too. You must renew between 1 January and 30 June each year.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
