What you need to check

If you are an NT apprentice or trainee and must travel more than 50 km one way to your training, this helps with the cost. Your training must be funded under the User Choice Program. Ask your training provider if you are not sure. It pays 50 cents a km by road, a bus fare for trips of 50 to 1,000 km, or part of an airfare. Transfers are $33 in the NT or $55 interstate. Accommodation is $700 for a full week and $100 for each extra day. You can claim up to four interstate trips a year. It is a contribution, not the full cost. Send the claim form and your training call-up notice to your Apprentice Connect Australia Provider, from six weeks before your training until six months after. It is paid into your bank account.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
