What you need to check

The money is paid to your bank account. You need a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card and the power account in your name, at the home you live in. Pensioner Concession Card and Veteran Gold Card holders cannot get it; they can get the Low Income Household Rebate instead. You cannot get both rebates in the same year. Apply online or by post with your card details, a power bill dated 1 July 2026 or later, and your bank details. The online form cannot be saved part-way. Applications close 30 June 2027.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
