What you need to check
If you live in NSW and get an eligible pension from Services Australia or Veterans’ Affairs, you may not have to pay for your driver licence. Driving tests, the riding skills test and a NSW Photo Card (a photo ID card) can also be free. So can a Mobility Parking Permit (a disability parking permit). Pensioner cards from other states do not count.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
