What you need to check

The Gold Opal card is for people with a NSW or ACT Seniors Card, or a Pensioner Concession Card from Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs. It works on Opal services. You can get a gold card, or link your concession to your credit or debit card. Seniors cards from other states may count if you live outside NSW.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
