What you need to check

You need a concession card from Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs: a Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card or Veteran Gold Card. Seniors Health Card holders cannot get this rebate. The gas account must be in your name, for the home you live in. Most people get it off their bills. If your gas comes through your building, you get $121 a year paid to your bank. If you use more than 45 kg of bottled gas for basic household needs, it is also paid to your bank. Those households apply to Service NSW by 30 June 2027. Each home can get it once a year.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
