What you need to check

You must live in NSW and get the full rate of certain Centrelink payments. These include JobSeeker Payment, Youth Allowance for job seekers, Parenting Payment (partnered) and Special Benefit. You get cheaper fares on Opal services and NSW TrainLink regional trains. First you need a free Transport Concession Entitlement Card. It lasts 90 days at a time.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
