What you need to check

This is for people aged 18 to 24 who study full time, and people aged 16 to 24 who do a full-time apprenticeship. Some 16 and 17 year olds can get it too, for example if they finished Year 12, live on their own, or must move away from home to study. Income tests apply, and if you depend on your parents, their income counts too. The amount depends on your age, where you live and whether you have children. Single people with children can get up to $854.20 a fortnight.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
