What you need to check

If you get a Centrelink payment, such as Age Pension, JobSeeker, Disability Support Pension, Carer Payment, Parenting Payment, Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY, and live in a remote area, you may get extra money. The area must be in the tax office’s remote zone A, or a special area of zone B. It is $18.20 a fortnight if single, or $15.60 each for a couple, plus $7.30 for each child. There is no income test, and it is not taxed.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
