What you need to check

You must be 22 or older and under Age Pension age. Residence rules apply, as well as income and assets tests (limits on what you earn and own). You may have to do things like look for work, and there may be a waiting period. Part-time work, fewer hours, or short-term sickness or injury can count. You do not have to be fully out of work.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
