What you need to check
This is for farmers, and their partners, in financial hardship for any reason, such as drought. You must work on and invest in an Australian farm run as a real business. You must be 16 or older, be an Australian resident and pass an income and assets test. You get a fortnightly payment, a Health Care Card and a case officer. You can also get up to $10,000 over your life for training and advice. You can get it for up to 4 years in each 10-year period. It is taxed.
