What you need to check
If you have left the ADF, you can have a full health check with any GP. It looks at your body and your mental health and can link you to more help. You must have served at least one day of continuous full-time service, including as a reservist. Anyone who has left can have one check. If you left on or after 1 July 2019, you can have one every year. It is free with a Veteran Card. If you do not have one, use your Medicare card. Ask the clinic for a 45-minute appointment for a Veterans’ Health Check.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
