What you need to check

This is for Veteran Gold Card and White Card holders. The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) can pay back fair travel costs to treatment your card covers. This includes buses, trains, taxis, and car travel at 68 cents a km. It can also cover parking, tolls, meals and a place to stay. A carer who travels with you may also be covered. You may get less back if you skip a closer suitable provider. Claim in MyService soon after you travel, and keep your receipts.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
