What you need to check
You must give constant care to someone, for about a normal working day each day. They must need care for at least 6 months, or be near the end of their life. You do not have to live with them, but the care must happen in their home. You can still work up to 100 hours in 4 weeks. Both you and the person you care for must meet the rules. You may need to fill in medical forms about the person you care for. Income and assets tests apply to you and your partner, and the person you care for must also be under limits.
This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
