What you need to check

It is for eligible apprentices in occupations on the Priority List. It is paid each month, after the month ends. You only start paying it back once your income is over $69,528 a year (2026–27), and then only on the part of your income above that amount. If you finish your apprenticeship, 20% of the loan is taken off. It is a loan, not a grant, so think about it carefully. Ask an Apprentice Connect Australia Provider how to apply.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
