What you need to check

Some card holders pay no registration fee on one car, motorbike or small trailer in their name. The cards are a Pensioner Concession Card or Low Income Health Care Card. Veterans’ Affairs concession and Gold Cards count too. ACT Seniors Card holders get 10% off the fee for one vehicle, or 28% off for a gas-powered vehicle. You still pay the compulsory injury insurance part of the bill, called Motor Accident Injuries (MAI) insurance. You may get money back for time you held the card before telling Access Canberra.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
