What you need to check

Your child must be 3 on or before 30 April and live in the ACT. They must go to a participating childcare service. The free preschool is 6 hours a week over 50 weeks, or 7.5 hours a week over 40 weeks. You only pay for extra hours. The Child Care Subsidy (a government payment for childcare) can lower that cost. Children on some temporary visas cannot get it. You can only use it once and at one service.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
