What you need to check

Children under 14 who live in the ACT or go to an ACT school can use public dental clinics. Teenagers under 18 can too if they are named on a Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card. It is free for children under 5, and for those under 18 named on a concession card. Children under 14 can use the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (a Medicare dental program) for free care. Other children aged 5 to 14 pay $84.55 per check-up period.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
