## What you need to check

School students ride free on weekdays during the school year with a Student SmartRider (a travel card). Seniors, aged pensioners, carers, Disability Support Pension holders and veterans get concession fares or free travel with the right SmartRider. Health Care Card holders and children on their card pay concession fares. Children aged 4 and under ride free. You need the right SmartRider for your group.

This is a short summary. Other rules may apply, like income or where you live. Check the full rules with the agency that runs it.
